Four inputs: the volume going, the access at both ends, how much packing you want done, and how far it travels. Nothing else — not the season, not urgency, not what somebody else quoted.
Keeping distance visible rather than folding it into the volume is deliberate. It is what makes two quotes genuinely comparable, and it is the line a cheap quote most often hides behind.
